Designed for homeschool families and their kids, the Crystal Epoxy Fish Tail Bookmark Stencil lets young makers turn a simple bookmark into a shimmering, personalized keepsake. This kid-friendly epoxy kit guides safe, step-by-step crafting to create a unique fish-tail bookmark.

Key Features & Design

  • Mould size: 7 × 4 × 0.7 cm
  • Main material: AB glue (epoxy resin) for a crystal-clear finish
  • Fish-tail bookmark shape adds a playful reading companion
  • Includes essential tools: disposable gloves, disposable chopsticks, disposable cups; toothpick and measuring cup recommended for color work
  • Color-ready workflow: stain color into the mold with a toothpick and create simple patterns
  • Optional decorative flowers: dry flowers first (1–2 days) and place them in the mold before filling

Production Steps

  • Step 1: Prepare what you need [AB glue, mold, disposable gloves, chopsticks, cup, toothpick, measuring cup]
  • Step 2: Get colors ready
  • Step 3: Mix AB glue in a 3:1 ratio and pour it into a paper cup
  • Step 4: Ready for mixing
  • Step 5: Method 1 — pour the AB glue into the mold, and use a toothpick to apply color gently where the glue drips
  • Step 6: Method 1 — you can draw simple patterns with the toothpick; only a small dab of color is needed
  • Step 7: Method 2 — if you want to embed flowers, place dried flowers in the mold, add a small amount of glue to fix, then fill the mold and wait for curing

Performance / Benefits

This project supports hands-on learning in homeschool settings by combining art and basic resin science. It helps kids understand resin mixing ratios, color theory, and careful design, while producing a functional, decorative bookmark they can use or share. The activity encourages planning, patience, and creativity, and ties into multiple parts of a homeschool curriculum—from arts & crafts to science and maker projects.

  • Resin safety and basic curing (adult supervision)
  • Measuring and mixing ratios (3:1)
  • Color mixing and precise staining with a toothpick
  • Pattern design and decorative detailing
  • Embedding dried flowers for natural decorations
  • Fine motor skills through careful pouring and finishing

Curriculum Connections

  • Arts & Crafts: design, color, and finishing of resin bookmarks
  • Science & STEAM: resin chemistry basics and safe handling
  • Project-based Learning: planning, execution, and presentation of finished bookmarks
  • Homeschool integration: aligns with art, science, and maker curricula
